Project Update August 26, 2015
Temporary Day Time closure of On-Ramp to South Bound 101 Freeway at the Intersection of 4th Street and Pecan Street
In order to complete the installation of a new storm drain for the Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project, the contractor, Skanska, Stacy-Witbeck, will implement intermittent closures of the southbound 101 Freeway on-ramp.
WHAT: Temporary Day Time closure of On-Ramp to South Bound 101 Freeway at the Intersection of 4th Street and Pecan Street
WHEN: Monday, September 7, 2015 through Friday, September 18, 2015
WORK HOURS: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
WHERE: Intersection of 4th Street and Pecan Street
TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
Southbound 101 Freeway on-ramp will be closed during work hours. Traffic detoured to southbound 5 Fwy
Pecan Street will be temporarily closed to all through traffic, south of 4th Street
Eastbound 4th Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic between Clarence Street and Pecan Street
Full access to local businesses and residences throughout construction
WORK DESCRIPTION: Work activities will include saw-cutting, asphalt and concrete removal, trench excavation, utility installation, backfilling and asphalt restoration. Heavy machinery will be used including excavators/ backhoes, front-end loaders and trucks.
ADVISORIES:
Directional signage and/or flagmen will be used to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zone.
Please obey all posted construction signs and do not enter the construction work zone.
Construction is a dynamic process and information is subject to change without notice.
Work activity is subject to weather conditions.
